Chair & CEO

I have an unwavering dedication to VHB, its professionals, and our future growth and success. I’m passionate about what we accomplish at VHB—we deliver value to clients and thoughtfully weave together mobility, communities, and environmental stewardship in a way that allows neighborhoods, towns, cities and regions to thrive.
Since joining the VHB family in 1998, I’ve taken on a number of strategic leadership roles—I founded and helped build the firm’s transit and rail practice, led the company’s transportation practice, helped establish the Tysons office in Virginia, and led VHB’s emergence as a premier integrated services consultant in Florida.
My 40-year career has provided the opportunity to work on some of our nation’s most complex transit and rail systems—Boston, Philadelphia, New York, Washington, DC, Orlando, and the nation’s only high speed rail system, Acela Express. My experience ranges from planning and client strategy consulting to designing complex transportation infrastructure.
I’m active in numerous professional associations including the American Council of Engineering Companies, Design-Build Institute of America, American Public Transportation Association, American Society of Civil Engineers, Women’s Transportation Seminar, American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association.
I am proud to have helped advance our consulting engineering industry in pursuit of improving the quality of life in our firms and our communities by serving as Chair of the ACEC Research Institute and the ACEC-DPC Executive Committee.
I am proud Trustee of the Wentworth Institute of Technology Board of Trustees, and a Board member of the Rose Kennedy Greenway Boston's urban crown-jewel park). Formerly I served on the Advisory Council of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Delaware (Chair 2014-2016). And I was humbled by UD's recognition of my career and service efforts when placed on UD's Wall of Fame in 2022. (Go Fightin' Blue Hens!)
