Newsela is an instructional content platform that allows teachers to serve content to students that engages as it helps them meet learning objectives. I lead a team of 18+ writers, editors, illustrators, photo editors and video editors who curate and edit both nonfiction and fiction content. Together, we also manage a team of 100+ freelancers around the world who help us publish more than 10 articles every school day, each at 5 reading levels. I collaborate with our Engineering, Product, Data, Community and Marketing teams to ensure our content remains consistently engaging and useful for our end-users.
