Ex-Pro Gamer Turned Esports Business Strategist | Connecting Brands with Gaming Audiences Globally
Unterföhring, Bavaria, Germany
I became German and European Champion in WarCraft III at 20 years old. By 25, I had competed on stages around the world for a decade and became the Vice-World Champion. Then I asked myself: what if I used everything I learned about gaming culture to help brands get it right? That question led me from the player’s chair to the boardroom.
Today, as Executive Director at build a rocket, I help global brands authentically connect with gaming audiences. Not with surface-level sponsorships, but with strategies rooted in real cultural understanding.
The path here was anything but traditional. I went from professional gaming to consulting agencies on esports market entry, to launching eSPORTS1 (the first esports Pay-TV station in the DACH region) at SPORT1, to co-leading the esports business unit at ProSiebenSat.1 where we acquired esports.com and built partnerships with the DFB, DFL, and BMW.
Every role taught me the same lesson: the brands that win in gaming are the ones that respect the community. My job is making sure they do.
I also teach at Hochschule fur angewandtes Management because I believe this industry needs more people who understand both the culture and the business.
A few things I am known for:
• Building esports products and business units from scratch
• Bridging the gap between traditional media and gaming
• M&A and brand strategy in digital entertainment
• Turning competitive gaming experience into business insight
If you are a brand exploring gaming, a media company building an esports strategy, or just someone who wants to talk about the future of the industry, my DMs are open and I'm happy to chat!
