Detail
Owings Mills, Maryland, United States
I am a cybersecurity and governance executive with more than 20 years of experience leading enterprise security, risk, and compliance programs across highly regulated industries. As a Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO), my focus is helping organizations build scalable Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) programs that align security strategy with business growth, regulatory readiness, and operational resilience.
Throughout my career, I have led complex cybersecurity and compliance initiatives across both the public and private sectors, including leadership roles with IBM, Box, LexisNexis, CrowdStrike, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, the U.S. Courts, and the GSA Office of Inspector General. My work spans the full lifecycle of enterprise security governance—from regulatory readiness and program strategy to authorization, audit management, and continuous monitoring across cloud and enterprise environments.
I specialize in helping organizations successfully navigate complex regulatory frameworks including FedRAMP High, NIST 800-53 Rev. 5, FISMA, DoD Cloud SRG (IL4/IL5), CMMC, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and emerging AI security governance models.
At IBM, I served as Information System Security Manager (ISSM) for IBM Automation Services for Government, leading FedRAMP authorization and continuous monitoring strategy across multiple SaaS cloud boundaries in AWS GovCloud. My leadership helped deliver 14 Authorization-to-Operate (ATO) approvals, reduce authorization timelines, and strengthen audit readiness through centralized governance and compliance automation.
Previously at Box, I directed enterprise compliance initiatives supporting FedRAMP High Rev. 5 and DoD Cloud SRG programs while partnering closely with engineering, product, legal, and executive leadership to translate complex regulatory requirements into operational security programs that strengthened risk posture and supported growth in regulated markets.
I am known for building high-performing teams and cross-functional governance models that integrate security, engineering, compliance, and product leadership. My leadership style focuses on operational maturity, measurable risk reduction, and positioning security as a strategic business enabler.
In addition to my corporate leadership roles, I am an active cybersecurity thought leader, speaker, and mentor committed to expanding access to cybersecurity careers and advancing the future of AI-powered Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC).
