Led 75-person Payments product group. Product, strategy, developer GTM, and consumer UX. Rebooted Checkout (powering OpenAI, X, etc.), launched Payment Links (first Stripe no-code payments product), Link (1-click checkout), and much more. Changed the way consumers interact with Stripe. Fastest growing products in 2020 and 2021 resulting in tens of billions of payments volume. Recipient of CEO equity grant given to top 1% of Stripes. Best job I've ever had.

Ran bizops, marketplace ops, growth, product, engineering, and design. Raised $5m from Thrive, Sidewalk Labs, Box Group, Refactor, and others.

I met my co-founder Lindsay who I started Umbrella with, Jan who would become my Partner at Boulton & Watt, and so many other friends and colleagues.

This was my first job after college after having worked at four startups and one seed stage venture firm (see below.) I was lucky that a16z decided to hire their first employee straight from undergrad on a Friday, and I met them the following Monday. I grew out my beard to look older than I was. When I started, I had nearly no idea what I was doing but left with a much better idea. I underestimated how much this job and the people I would work with would teach me, most of which I realized only after I left. Outside of the GPs, I had the best "founder NPS", but this was mostly because I was terrified of failing. I led the investment diligence for Imgur (Series A), Offerup (Series B), Instacart (Series B), Gotenna (Seed), and a few others.

The Internet’s visual storytelling community. 140 million monthly uniques, 80 billion monthly image views. It was a different time on the internet. I was the first product hire, and ended up starting the product and data teams, along with running the design team. Ultimately not the right culture fit, and I quit when I should have stayed to compound some of the highest slope learning of my career. I met a number of great people I still stay in touch with today.

I'm very lucky. I'm dyslexic and this required significant time, effort, and patience from my parents to teach me to read, which I finally learned to do at age seven and a half. My aunt gave me my first computer at age 12, which let me participate in online forums and changed my life. My first jobs were all through introductions my mother made me. I worked hard, and was able to work at startups beginning at age 15 which I've continued to do since. Worked in engineering roles at startups like Buzzfeed, The Huffington Post, Fourth Story Media, and Community Connect. Sourced and evaluated investments at Lerer Hippeau Ventures.
