As the agency’s deputy director for the support of the US health departments, Tribal Nations and Insular Areas, advise and represent CDC’s director to fulfill CDC’s objectives. As director of OSTLTS, led the development of this cross-cutting office, designed to improve the public health system’s capacity and performance during an era of health reform. Lead over 500 staff and fellows, a budget of $200 million, and additional grant distribution of nearly $100 million.
