Krystal Mora

I am a newly graduated Registered Nurse (RN) from the University of San Francisco, holding a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). I am a lifelong learner seeking opportunities to expand my Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) expertise while delivering patient-centered, high-quality, safe, and equitable care. During my graduate program, I completed a quality improvement capstone project in the postpartum unit of an academic hospital. This project focused on implementing a Baby-Friendly infant feeding education checklist for nurses to improve postpartum patient knowledge retention. Through this initiative, I applied evidence-based CNL competencies and transformational leadership strategies to standardize breastfeeding education, promote equitable healthcare education, and enhance health care quality by preventing adverse health outcomes for mothers and infants. As a minority, I have an unwavering dedication to providing compassionate care that is sensitive to all cultural practices. I am fluent in English and Spanish and strive to continuously improve health literacy, improving overall health outcomes for all. I am also a well-versed professional with a bachelor's degree in public health from San Diego State University, providing me with a thorough grasp of how social determinants of health shape inequities. My diverse clinical experiences, previous healthcare employment, certifications, and professional degrees have contributed to my professional growth and equipped me with valuable skills in person-centered care, communication, strategic problem-solving, evidence-based practices (EBP), leadership, and teamwork. I look forward to using my knowledge and skills to tackle new challenges and collaborate with an institution, as I am dedicated and passionate about improving healthcare experiences and outcomes for all while respecting patients' rights and autonomy.
