    Vice President, Engineering
    Archive
    May 2023 - Nov 2024 (1 year 7 months)
At Archive, our mission is to keep apparel and other products in use for as long as possible. We do that by helping brands like The North Face and Oscar de la Renta take control of their own secondhand markets. From beautiful, fully customizable marketplace sites to deep integrations with 3PLs for managing cleaning, repair, & more, the technology we're building is a needed layer to help brands extend the life of the goods they sell.

Ultimately, we aim to align incentives for retail brands so they can invest in more sustainable business practices (i.e., buying used results in an 82% reduction in carbon footprint vs buying new), but it's too hard for them to do that scalably and profitably— without the technology we're building.

  • Stripe
    Head of Engineering, Commerce
    Stripe
    Feb 2021 - Jul 2022 (1 year 6 months)
I led Stripe’s Commerce team, a new product vertical within Stripe's Payments org chartered with expanding Stripe's core payments API integration to support use cases across the full eCommerce lifecycle.

As the Engineering Lead for Stripe Commerce, I led product and technical strategy, hiring and scaling team culture, and driving technical execution for the group. Over 18 months, I scaled the Commerce team from 6 ICs, one PM, and myself to a cross-functional group of 65. Within that, I managed a group of 45 engineers and EMs; I owned several of Stripe's core API abstractions (like Products, Prices, and Orders); I developed and launched several new API products from 0->1.
