Across Procter & Gamble, PepsiCo, Cardinal Health, The Economist Group, and Great Minds PBC, I’ve had one consistent job: making sure the people strategy and the business strategy are the same strategy.
That sounds simple. It rarely is.
I’ve served as CHRO across organizations ranging from Fortune 14 companies to PE-backed companies navigating rapid growth. My work has included CEO succession, acquisition integration, restructuring, executive compensation, governance, leadership development, and cultural transformation.
Different companies. Different circumstances. The same underlying challenge: helping the organization adapt without losing its ability to perform.
At Cardinal Health, I was CHRO for a $76B business segment, leading talent integration through multiple acquisitions. At GW Medical Faculty Associates, I partnered with the Board of Trustees to hire a new CEO and helped drive 26% revenue growth even as federal reimbursement rates fell.
At Great Minds PBC, I guided a founder through PE investment, C-Suite transformation, CEO succession, and 61% revenue growth over five years. We also earned Great Place to Work certification three consecutive years, including through two significant restructurings.
I’ve led CEO succession five times. Each required holding the confidence of the outgoing leader, the incoming one, the board, and the team simultaneously. That’s the work I find most demanding. It’s also the work I’m most proud of.
Through Whitmore Strategic Solutions, I now bring that experience directly to CEOs, boards, investors, and growth-stage organizations through The Adaptive Enterprise™ Framework.
The framework strengthens four capabilities that determine long-term performance:
• Adaptive Leadership: Executives who inspire confidence, make better decisions, and lead through uncertainty.
• Adaptive Organization: Governance, and operating models that improve speed, alignment, and execution.
• Adaptive Talent: Leadership pipelines and future-ready workforces prepared for continuous change.
• Adaptive Culture: Cultures that foster accountability, innovation, resilience, and high performance.
Organizations do not become more adaptable through a single initiative. Leadership, organizational design, talent, and culture have to work together.
If you need someone who has been in the room when it was complicated — and who knows how to make sure the right people are still standing when it’s over — I’d welcome a conversation.
