+ Led the development of products we were tasked to build for clients in the tech real estate and Ed tech industries. + Communicated day-to-day with clients to understand their needs and expectations, as well as collaborating with other designers and engineers from their existing teams. + Worked extensively with data, especially for our clients in the real estate industry, who often require data normalization work. We would use a combination of Python and R for data processing, D3.js for data visualizations, and efficiently indexed SQL and Mongo databases. + Built a powerful API for consumers to retrieve MLS data from REBNY. This is being used at scale to power real estate websites that require real-time listing data.

+ Led the development on new publications and rebuilt key components during my time as an engineer. I worked on the ads, core, and video teams which required extensive collaboration across multiple departments. + Built many interactive articles and digital experiences for major clients such as CNN and HBO. Created reusable interactive advertising units for the ad operations team to be able to sell at scale. + Worked on stabilizing the existing video infrastructure and expanding its capabilities as well as revamping the video pages and making them a priority across the site. Observed user behavior and iterated based on the data we collected.

This tested my ability to work under intense pressure and successfully so. + Built tools for testing different parts of our products using Python, JS, Selenium, Cucumber, and Jenkins. Optimized existing tools to run and compile significantly across the board.

+ Built data analysis tools using Python, Flask, and D3.js, for aggregating and visualizing data points. One such tool tracked the gap between students who complete lessons and those who don't and where they dropped off, so that we can try and determine why and iterate curriculum based off that. + Collaborated with other engineers to customize Chromebooks and turn them into full development machines for our students to use. This consisted of low-level programming using Bash and C to do most of the scripting that was required. + Wrote and edited curriculum for students to learn computer programming. I also gave many lectures to classes of 20-25 students.
