    Nixstro
    Nov 2019 - Jul 2021 (1 year 9 months)
+ Led the development of products we were tasked to build for clients in the tech real estate and Ed tech industries. + Communicated day-to-day with clients to understand their needs and expectations, as well as collaborating with other designers and engineers from their existing teams. + Worked extensively with data, especially for our clients in the real estate industry, who often require data normalization work. We would use a combination of Python and R for data processing, D3.js for data visualizations, and efficiently indexed SQL and Mongo databases. + Built a powerful API for consumers to retrieve MLS data from REBNY. This is being used at scale to power real estate websites that require real-time listing data.

    New York Magazine
    Oct 2016 - Nov 2017 (1 year 2 months)
+ Led the development on new publications and rebuilt key components during my time as an engineer. I worked on the ads, core, and video teams which required extensive collaboration across multiple departments. + Built many interactive articles and digital experiences for major clients such as CNN and HBO. Created reusable interactive advertising units for the ad operations team to be able to sell at scale. + Worked on stabilizing the existing video infrastructure and expanding its capabilities as well as revamping the video pages and making them a priority across the site. + Worked for the Global Technology Infrastructure department, one of the new engineering teams that are required to be on-call in case of emergencies. This tested my ability to work under intense pressure and successfully so. + Built tools for testing different parts of our products using Python, JS, Selenium, Cucumber, and Jenkins. Optimized existing tools to run and compile significantly across the board.
  • Flatiron School
    Software Engineer
    Flatiron School
    Jun 2014 - Jun 2015 (1 year 1 month)
+ Built data analysis tools using Python, Flask, and D3.js, for aggregating and visualizing data points. One such tool tracked the gap between students who complete lessons and those who don't and where they dropped off, so that we can try and determine why and iterate curriculum based off that. + Collaborated with other engineers to customize Chromebooks and turn them into full development machines for our students to use. This consisted of low-level programming using Bash and C to do most of the scripting that was required. + Wrote and edited curriculum for students to learn computer programming. I also gave many lectures to classes of 20-25 students.

    RamGrid
    Jan 2016 - Dec 2016 (1 year)
Never again experience the hassle that comes with creating and distributing servers amongst your team, all while saving a bunch of money. RamGrid offers servers on demand that seamlessly scale to your needs. It's an entirely new way to both manage and distribute a bunch of servers easily at an extremely low cost. For example, our Business plan allows you to create up to 12 servers with their own dedicated IPs easily for less than half the price it would cost if you bought them individually elsewhere! We are the first to do this.

    Gnomify
    Jan 2015 - Dec 2015 (1 year)
You can shorten really long links, and create custom slugs for your own personal links that sometime tend to be quite long. There's a bunch of data that's collected and you can view all of the cool analytics and visualizations by appending an (-) minus sign after a slug. It's pretty much exactly like Bitly.

    Roadbeam
    Jan 2014 - Dec 2014 (1 year)
This is a social network exclusively designed for college students only. Your e-mail address must be from an approved educational institution and you will have to verify it upon registration. Once you're inside, you'll automatically be connected to your school's network, where you can see what your peers posts, like their content, and follow them. Essentially, Roadbeam is what Facebook was in 2004.
  • D
    Diction
    Jan 2013 - Dec 2013 (1 year)
Some people have trouble learning the command line, specifically using Bash. Diction is a tool that's ran on the command line where someone could pick up Bash and how to navigate themselves in a Linux environment easily. It introduces a wide range of concepts as well as some virtualization too!
