In 1961, my father Frank launched City Wide Maintenance to provide Kansas City businesses quality janitorial services. Growing up in their family grocery stores, Frank saw just how hard it was to attract and retain good people to clean their stores at night. Knowing other business owners must struggle with the same thing, he decided to specialize in quality janitorial services you could count on. Frank’s hunch paid off, and City Wide quickly grew to a leading provider in the area. I too, learned every aspect of our family businesses growing up. Starting in sales, then as GM, we grew the business 600% in six years. By 1997, I was heading up the company. With a new vision for our future, we transitioned City Wide’s business model to a full-service, facilities management company offering 20+ services. This pivot created a unique opportunity for other entrepreneurs. So, in 2001, we launched City Wide Franchise, turning our thriving family business into a respected national brand. City Wide Facility Solution’s ongoing mission is to positively impact others by creating a ripple effect felt far and wide. Deeply rooted in our core values of professionalism, integrity, servant leadership and accountability, our business is about saving time and solving problems. By representing the clients, our teams help create safe and productive working environments for commercial properties.
