Nick Van Den Berg

I’m a senior software engineer with 10+ years of experience building production-grade web applications, now focused on AI-native products, agentic workflows and forward-deployed engineering. I work at the intersection of product, engineering, UX and business. My strength is taking ambiguous customer problems, understanding the underlying workflow, and turning them into practical software that ships. I’m especially interested in AI systems that move beyond chat interfaces: agents, tool use, MCP integrations, voice AI, workflow automation and human-in-the-loop productivity tools. Over the years, I’ve built and maintained complex front-end platforms using Vue/Nuxt, React/Next.js, Angular, TypeScript and Node.js. More recently, my work has focused on AI-powered product features: building agentic capabilities, integrating external tools, improving streaming AI interfaces, and creating AI-assisted platforms for operational use cases such as customer service. I bring a rare combination of engineering depth, UX sensitivity and business understanding. That allows me to contribute not only as a developer, but also as a sparring partner for product strategy, customer workflows, technical architecture and go-to-market fit.
