    #UnDiaParaDar is the Latin American version of #GivingTuesday, a global movement to celebrate giving and to help build stronger and more resilient communities. From OurMark, we partnered with New York based 92Y (promoters of the global campaign) and we adapted the brand and led the dissemination of the movement to an initial 11 countries in the region. In a record 45 days, we managed to get hundreds of organizations (especially NGOs) onboard and actively participating, setting the stage for a steep growth in the following year. It was created to empower and accelerate the Global Trend of Doing Good that we are currently experiencing - a trend defined by people becoming more aware and involved with the solutions to the social and environmental problems that we are facing. We developed a mobile-responsive web App using multiple state-of-the-art tools at that time, with an in-house engineering team plus outsourced resources.

    Got involved with micro finance in the year 2000, after reading Muhammad Yunus´ book "Banker of the Poor", and served as a volunteer in 2 NGOs until mid 2002. Then, with co-founders Julián and Juan José, decided to create a more market-oriented MFI. It was initially called FIS, for "Social Investment Fund", and was a part of the NGO "El Ceibal". In July 2005 FIS turned into a for-profit company and in 2008 partnered with Grupo ACP, a non-profit Latin American Corporation based in Peru and specialized in microfinance, and adopted the name "Emprenda".
