Nicolas Duran

With more than 20 years of work experience in the IT industry and more than 13 on EdTech industry. I had the opportunity and pleasure to work in multiple positions as a consultant, architect, designer, and software developer of software-intensive large-scale systems in the U.S., Spain, Chile, Mexico, Argentina, and Uruguay. I worked for companies in the EdTech, insurance, toll roads, financial and healthcare industries.

Experienced in team leadership with teams of 200+ engineers around the globe focused on the technical management and guidance of multiple teams with a varied tech stack, ranging from software engineering, cloud engineering, frontend, and backend working on high-scalable and resilient solutions on hybrid environments.

I considered myself a highly technical profile, which promotes teamwork and mentorship, I have led groups of developers on several occasions to succeed in our goals and objectives.

In academia, I worked as a Professor at the Universidad ORT Uruguay Faculty and also at the Autónomo del Sur Faculty. I also conducted various subjects, workshops, and refresher courses in some companies I worked in.

I had the opportunity to participate as a speaker at some conferences and be part of the technical panel at some events in different countries.
