Michael Mbchb

Michael is a Scientist, Physician and Entrepreneur. He is the CEO of Prilenia Therapeutics and a Killam Professor at the University of British Columbia.Michael is the co-founder of five biotechnology companies including: NeuroVir, Xenon, Aspreva, 89bio and Prilenia. In addition, he serves as a Board Member for different public and private biotechnology companies.Michael is the author of ~900 peer-reviewed publications and invited submissions and the recipient of numerous prestigious honours and awards. He was inducted into the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame in 2017 and was awarded the Order of Canada in 2010 and Order of British Colombia in 2009. Michael was recently named as one of the 50 Canadians born in the 20th century who have changed the world.
