UNICEF Latin America & The Caribbean created a youth network from youth members all over Latin America to push the mental health awareness conversation and add their needs/perspectives/opinions to decision-making for their annual programming. As the mexican representative in the network, I support with content creation for their social media networks as well as becoming a spokesperson for my community in terms of wants and needs for mental health policies and projects promoted by UNICEF in the country and all over the continent. For 2023 I'm part of the Game Design team for an upcoming project in collaboration with the network and Concausa. More to come on October 10th for International Mental Health Day.

U-Report is a UNICEF program created for and run by youth to give a platform to our voices in diverse fields. We do so through a yearly committee of around 20 youth representatives of various regions of Mexico, and having them come up and craft events, online activities through socials and chatbots related to mental health and health services, climate change, technology, gender equity and so on. For the 2022 committee I was part of the technology and health chairs, having had a critical role in event planning, having planned out one of the most viewed live streams by UNICEF Mexico through out all their platforms.

We bring psycho-educational and expression spaces & resources for youth to learn and feel validated, all through informational posts and events with professionals in the field. Sentinella exists because mental health never goes last.
