During my time as an intern at Fox-IT, I researched two automated vulnerability scanners: OpenVAS and Nessus. The research compared many factors, including plugin quality, reporting quality, and the number of findings on a test lab intentionally designed to be vulnerable. Developed a small application to identify plugins in Nessus and OpenVAS that one or the other lacked and were truly unique to that scanner.

Penetration testing for clients in EMEA and Silicon Valley, translating technical findings into detailed reports for engineering and business/executive audiences. The company was founded in the Netherlands, and we quickly built a client portfolio ranging from small technology companies to large Dutch government institutions. Our Silicon Valley activities mainly consisted of performing application security testing on popular B2B and B2C products like Airbnb, Evernote, Sift Science and Backblaze.
