Joshua Liu

I am a physician turned co-founder/CEO of SeamlessMD, a Health Tech company which enables CMIOs, CIOs and health systems to digitize patient care journeys (e.g. pre/post surgery) with automated reminders, education and symptom monitoring. We are also Epic’s only Toolbox partner for MyChart Care Companion content. I'm an advocate for healthcare innovation, and previously served as Chair of the Canadian Medical Association's Joule Innovation Council and on the Advisory Group to Ontario's Chief Health Innovation Strategist. During my medical training, I researched hospital readmissions at UHN’s Centre for Innovation in Complex Care. I also sat on UHN’s physician advisory group for follow up after hospitalization. I am a long time advocate for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) promotion to youth. Previously, I founded the SMARTS youth science network and served on Shad Valley’s Board of Directors. I also started MedHopeful, one of Canada’s most popular blogs for students. I have received various honours, including Digital Health Canada's "Digital Health Executive of the Year", Healthcare Innovation's 40 Under 40, Forbes 30 Under 30 in Science & Healthcare, Canadian Top 20 Under 20, Next 36 high impact entrepreneur and TD Canada Trust Scholar. I hold a MD from the University of Toronto and a BSc from York University.
