Kate is CEO and executive director of Kooth plc. Kooth is a pioneer and globally leading platform for digital mental health. Today, Kooth's service is free at the point of access to more than 20 million people in the UK and US, including all 6 million 13-25 yr olds Californians.
Our purpose is to build mentally healthier populations, leaving no one behind. We achieve this by providing everyone with effective digital support from their first moment-of-need. Kooth provides direct access to professional support within minutes alongside a fully safeguarded and pre-moderated community and a library of content and digital tools. There are no thresholds for support and no waiting lists. Kooth is the largest single access provider for mental health support for under 18s in the UK.
In 2020 Kate supported Covid19 task force efforts, leading a work-stream within NHSX.
Before Kooth, Kate was Chief Executive Officer at UK’s leading digital venture builder Blenheim Chalcot, which builds companies using technology to create a more productive world. Specifically, Kate supported ventures from startup to scale to exit, giving them access to the global networks, investment and business development services.
Formerly Kate was founding team member and CEO of Doctor Care Anywhere, a digital healthcare company enabling people to take control of their health through remote access to healthcare professionals. She took it from concept to operational global business serving over 140 corporate clients through relationships with AXA PPP Healthcare, Legal & General, Nuffield Health and Aetna International.
Before this, she worked for 10+yrs as a Strategy Consultant, notably at Roland Berger and BDO, where she built expertise in digital transformation with specialist knowledge of local government and healthcare sectors. After this, Kate worked as an independent consultant working at Outcomes Based Healthcare and Enjoy Education building business development capability.
Kate won Disruptor of the Year 2016 at First Woman Awards, Innovator of the Year 2017 at Everywoman Women awards and in 2019, was named as one of the 100 Most Influential in UK India Relations.
In 2021, Kate made the #womentowatch2021 Cranfield University list (shining a light on potential FTSE 350 board members). She is also a CMI Companion, holding CMgr CCMI status.
