Chief Financial Officer

I am a retired finance executive with more than four decades of experience spanning banking, corporate finance, international trade finance, transportation and logistics, with professional exposure across India, Canada and the United States.
My career began with Punjab National Bank, where I developed my foundation in banking and financial services. I subsequently held a range of senior positions with HDFC Bank (erstwhile Bank of Punjab), with experience in both India and Canada, including serving as Chief Representative in Canada. These experiences provided me with a strong understanding of banking, international trade finance, cross-border business, risk management and financial relationships.
I later spent 13 years as Chief Financial Officer in the transportation and logistics industry, working closely with business owners, lenders, regulators and operational teams. In this role, I was involved not only in financial management and reporting, but also in strategic planning, corporate governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, internal controls, finance transformation and operational decision-making.
Throughout my career, I have worked at the intersection of finance and business operations, particularly in situations involving growth, change, complexity and regulatory scrutiny. I have led and supported organizations through financial and regulatory challenges involving tax authorities, workplace safety, labour, transportation, banking and other stakeholders, with an emphasis on practical, commercially sound and sustainable solutions.
Although I am now retired from full-time corporate employment, I remain professionally engaged. I continue to share my experience and perspectives in financial strategy, international trade finance, corporate governance, enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, finance modernization, operational excellence and the mentoring of finance professionals.
I am also engaged as a Mortgage Advisor and Consultant, assisting clients with financing solutions and providing professional mortgage advisory services.
At this stage of my life and career, my greatest professional satisfaction comes from sharing experience, mentoring others, helping people navigate complex financial decisions, and contributing wherever practical knowledge and sound judgment can make a difference.
