Association Executive: Change Management | Revenue Growth | Global Engagement | Membership
Alexandria, Virginia, United States
As a child, if you asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, my answer was: “I want to teach people to do good so they can go out into the world and do good.” I am an old-soul, and I have always wanted to make the world a better place.
When I said those words, I did not know I was setting the vision for my life. I certainly didn’t know that my journey would be defined by education, but I wouldn’t be a traditional teacher. I educate by creating opportunities and managing change in the social sector – specifically through associations. In the past decade, I’ve created programs and opportunities on a global scale and then executed them in a way that grew impact, revenue, and membership. I have an entrepreneurial outlook, and I am a builder.
Over the years I have become a citizen of the world and am blessed to take the best mannerisms from every culture and incorporate them into how I communicate and do business. From the polite directness of a German, to the pleasing nature of an Indian, and the double-thank you’s from an English woman, I have learned how to be an effective businesswoman across America, Europe, and Asia. While I’m busy helping and teaching others, I am also busy learning. I see each day as a new opportunity to connect, make a difference, and change the world.
I can talk to you for hours about current news headlines, global events, or the latest nonfiction book. I love to talk about problems that matter and brainstorm solutions that could succeed not because of technological advances, but because of how we approach the problem as humanists with soft skills.
I enjoy making new connections, and I’m happy to chat about education, associations, global programs, and travel. If you reach out, please tell me more about yourself and why we should chat!
