I've spent more than 30 years building a career across hospitality, tourism, business operations, and higher education. What makes my journey somewhat unusual is that I've experienced the industry from almost every angle, from entry level operational roles through to executive leadership, business ownership, and university teaching.
Throughout my career, I've served as a Chief Operations Officer, General Manager, Director of Food and Beverage, business owner, Associate Professor, and Program Lead. Those experiences have given me a practical understanding of leadership, operations, financial performance, team development, and organizational growth that goes beyond theory and into day to day application.
Teaching became a natural extension of that experience. I've taught 29 courses across hospitality, tourism, business, communications, sustainability, ethics, marketing, leadership, and organizational behavior. Whether working with students, employees, or leadership teams, I enjoy helping people connect concepts with real world decision making and professional success.
My professional experience spans Canada, Thailand, China, Madagascar, and other international environments, giving me a broad perspective on business, culture, leadership, and education.
I hold a Master of Arts in Tourism Management from Royal Roads University, a Higher Education Teaching Certificate from Harvard University, and I'm currently completing a Master of Science in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.
I'm always interested in conversations related to higher education, academic leadership, hospitality management, operations leadership, consulting, and business development.
