I thought I was going to be a chemist. On a Saturday morning, I found myself in the lab, by myself, replicating an experiment that went horribly wrong three days prior. The coin dropped. My path was about pressure to be a third-generation scientist, not something I loved to do. I was fascinated by the electives I was taking, which primarily focused on Psychology. During my graduate work I came across a book that changed it all. The design of everyday things by Don Norman. I believe we all have an obligation to make the world better than the way we found it. For me, that was understanding people, their needs, and crafting user-centric solutions that not only delight customers, but also drive business success. My ideal position is one where I am consistently presented with new challenges and making a difference. I love working collaboratively through difficult problems and ambiguity to uncover opportunities. In my downtime, you can find me in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes, out in the garden, or traveling. Quote I love ''Most people make the mistake of thinking design is what it looks like. People think it's this veneer -- that the designers are handed this box and told, 'Make it look good.' That's not what we think design is. It's not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.''
