Peter Tam

Peter Tam was the Director & Deputy CEO of CoverGo from October 2019 to November 2024. Working in close partnership with its Founder CEO Tomas Holub, Peter has helped grow CoverGo from 12 to over 160 people and raised more than US$20m. Peter is instrumental in establishing a solid and a reputable client base in Hong Kong and beyond with remarkable footprints in Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Europe and North America. Before joining CoverGo, Peter was the Chief Executive of The Hong Kong Federation of Insurers for 15 years. Graduated from HKU in 1979, he served in the Hong Kong Government as Administrative Officer rising to the rank of directorate within 10 years. In 1980/81, he studied at Oxford University under Government's sponsorship. From 1990 to 1995, he worked in New York Life/Canada Life, winning the prestigious Dick Penn Memorial Award as the most outstanding young insurance agent in British Columbia, Canada. From 1995 to 1999, Peter was the General Manager of Chairman's Office, Airport Authority Hong Kong. From 2000 to 2004, he was the Executive Director of The Tobacco Institute of Hong Kong comprising Philip Morris, BAT and Japan Tobacco.
