    ROADS Charter High Schools
    Jul 2012 - Jul 2015 (3 years 1 month)
ROADS Bronx Charter High School opened its doors in 2012 as an alternative high school serving over-age, under-credited youth. Jul 2009 - Jun 2012 (3 years)
Innovation Diploma Plus High School opened its doors in 2009 as an alternative high school serving over-age, under-credited youth. I was a founding math teacher and worked directly with the founding principal to define and design an asynchronous, competency-based high school mathematics curriculum to support students previously unsuccessful in traditional mathematics classrooms. I taught high school algebra and financial literacy. To meet my students' needs, I built a lightweight standards-based gradebook and LMS to ensure my students could access the course content and their performance at their convenience.
  • Merrill Lynch
    Investment Banking Analyst
    Merrill Lynch
    Jul 2007 - Jun 2009 (2 years)
I joined Merrill Lynch as an Investment Banking Analyst right out of college. In this role, I analyzed merger consequences, leveraged buyouts, debt, equity and equity-linked financing alternatives for healthcare services, medical technology, biotechnology, specialty and large-cap pharmaceutical companies. This role helped me understand that financial planning and analysis as a day-to-day gig was not my passion.
