Erik Ostman

Senior Software Engineer (6+ years) based in New York, focused on distributed systems, backend architecture, and data-intensive products. I design and build TypeScript/Python services on AWS that power LLM features, data pipelines, and customer-facing applications at scale.At Earned, I’m the lead backend engineer, owning core distributed systems, AWS cloud infrastructure, and LLM-powered product features. Previously, I built and scaled products at early-stage startups across fintech and healthcare, taking platforms from 0→1 and then hardening them for reliability, performance, and growth. I bring a strong engineering and analytics foundation: an M.S. in Analytics (in progress) from Georgia Tech and an engineering degree (summa cum laude) from UNSW.
