Utilized Uber trip data to analyze a cash debt problem in Latin America. Using Python and SQL, designed and trained a model in order to forecast the extent of the problem for each major city, creating novel techniques to ensure model accuracy despite the lack of history of the problem to generalize from, and preemptively uncovered a hit to P&L on the order of >$50 million / year. Worked directly with FinOps teams in Latin America to implement a solution based on those forecasts. Separately, used Spark to do large scale forecasting of individual Uber driver and rider behavior.
