Software engineer with a B.Sc. in Computer Science and 20+ years of experience with software development. With practical daily contact with the full software development life-cycle: conception, design, development, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance. I have worked with Java, Ruby, Elixir, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and am open-minded to learning the next one. Passionate about code quality that comes from industry good practices like clean code, unit/integration/e2e tests, code coverage, and code review. My strong background as a backend developer includes experience with scalable and highly available systems, distributed systems integration using REST/GraphQL APIs, messaging systems, and SQL/No-SQL databases. Detail-oriented, I like to see relations between my features/bug fixes in the context of my team and also to see it in the big picture to understand its impact on the whole product, that way I can contribute to product decisions and technical discussions. While my background is primarily on backend development, I am eager to expand my expertise as a full-stack developer, doing so by enhancing my skills in frontend technologies such as React.js or Phoenix LiveView. I am also currently enrolled in an MBA program in Software Architecture, to improve my expertise in software development, which translates into delivering well-designed and large-scale projects for big companies.
