Dr. Reeves' roles at MCC include: college committees (College Professional Study Committee, Curriculum and Academic Affairs Subcommittees), Advisor in Project Reach (student support program), Director of Admissions, Registrar, Bursar, Primary Designated School Official (P.D.S.O.) for International Students, Director of the Learning Center serving 1,300 students in competitive or formula grant funded programs (Single Parent & Displaced Homemakers, Sex Equity, Upward Bound, and STAR: Students Taking Academic Responsibility programs). Program graduates consistently graduated with honors and high honors. All programs were designated model programs by the funding source.
She has provided personal and career counseling, taught student success courses, wrote a student success textbook, College: What You Need to Know and How to Succeed, and provided curriculum development and evaluation for student success courses. She has provided supervision of Limited Licensed Professional Counselors (LLPC) to achieve full licensure; and maintained a clinical practice at Taylor Psychological Clinic in Flint, MI from 1999-2004. She has taught at the University of Michigan – Flint and Rochester College.
Dr. Reeves has provided testimony to state and legislative groups, served on boards of local, state and regional organizations and agencies as well as presented at numerous conferences. Passionate about student & organizational success, she provides program and curriculum design, consulting and/or evaluative services to agencies and organizations through her company, AMR Enterprises. She currently serves as Past President of the Genesee Area Counseling Association and is a Genesee Health Services Board Member.
Dr. Reeves had served as an Alcoholism Therapist & a Substance Abuse Therapist, as well as trained practitioners in these areas, prior to her employment at MCC. She is licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor & Masters Social Worker.
