Daryn Nakhuda

I’m VP of Software at Waabi, where we’re building the next generation of Physical AI, starting with autonomous driving.

Over the past 25+ years, I’ve built products, platforms, and engineering organizations across startups and larger technology companies. My background spans software engineering, product development, company-building, and executive leadership, with a particular focus on applying AI to complex real-world systems.

Before Waabi, I was CEO and Co-Founder of Mighty AI, a leading data labeling company acquired by Uber in 2019. After the acquisition, I was part of the software leadership teams at Uber ATG and later Aurora, helping scale technology and teams in autonomy.

Earlier in my career, I spent nearly two decades building software from the ground up — writing code, shipping products, and leading engineering teams. That included serving as CTO of TeachStreet (acquired by Amazon), helping launch Amazon Restaurants, and building large-scale systems at companies including Spam Arrest and eNIC (acquired by VeriSign).

I’m especially energized by hard technical problems, strong teams, and the challenge of turning ambitious ideas into scalable products that solve real human-needs.

Outside of work, I’m an avid indoor and sometimes outdoor cyclist, and an amateur cook refining my live-fire cooking game on the Big Green Egg and in my outdoor pizza oven.
