I have been an investor, entrepreneur, board member, and advisor to companies in the clean energy, food & agriculture, buildings, mobility, and public safety sectors throughout my entire career. I've been fortunate to work with investors at all stages of startup growth - accelerators, seed, venture, and project finance - and try to bring this experience to helping companies scale.
Prior to my current role, I was a partner at the Westly Group, a Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm in the clean energy sector with over $400m under management. I started at the Westly Group as an intern and worked my way up to partner in under five years with the firm. My 10 deals at the Westly Group have collectively raised over $1.1 billion in follow-on funding from Sequoia Capital, Benchmark, BlackRock, Microsoft, Google, S2G Ventures, Index Ventures, DBL Investments, Patagonia, Brookfield Asset Management, Oxford Properties, Obvious Ventures, Playground Global, Prelude Ventures, and many others. This portfolio includes three successful acquisitions, one IPO, and five still active and growing companies.
Before the Westly Group, I was co-founder and CEO of Village Green Energy, a retail and wholesale provider of renewable energy in voluntary and compliance markets. Before this, I was the Indian Program Research Coordinator at the Program on Energy and Sustainable Development at Stanford University, where I focused on the impact of changes to global energy markets on major developing economies.
