Abdul-Karim Ngoliba

As the Founder and CEO of Ngoliba AgriVentures, I lead the development of an integrated agribusiness model that empowers smallholder women farmers through access to modern farming tools, agronomic training, and premium market connections. Our operations have positively impacted thousands of women across rural communities, with a strong emphasis on fostering climate resilience and sustainable agriculture. I am a trained nurse and a business graduate asking one question that keeps me up at night: how do we build health systems that actually work for people at the margins? Trained first at the College of Health Sciences-Yendi and later at Ashesi University, where I graduated with a BSc in Business Administration as a Mastercard Foundation Scholar, I bring frontline clinical experience together with policy thinking and entrepreneurial problem-solving. That combination is rare, and I use it deliberately. My current research centers on the Political Economy of Mental Healthcare in Ghana. In 2023, I co-designed Mirror, a platform supporting tertiary students facing stress and suicidal ideation, during the Erasmus+ Global Mental Health and Social Innovation Program in Dresden, Germany. I have interned with Societe Generale, and served across hospitals in Savelugu, Tamale Central, and Tamale West. My long-term goal is simple: turn rigorous research into policy that expands opportunity for communities left at the edges. My goal is to leverage research and partnerships to create scalable, sustainable solutions for marginalized communities.
