Sebastian Ruales

Sebastian is Co-Founder and CEO of Bia.Energy, company aiming to empower LatAm with cheap, sustainable and smart energy, through a consumer centric technology platform. He is founding team member of LatAm´s SuperApp Rappi -YC 16’, Sequoia, SoftBank, DST, T.RowePrice - Where he answered solely and directly to founders, where he built from scratch and developed the Monetization model of the company, Business Development and New Businesses. He additionally served as an independent consultant to several StartUps in the region, advising on product and commercial strategy. He is advisor to 8VC, Managing Partner and Co-founder of Opera Ventures, and VP of MatterScale Ventures. He is also Speaker -Including TEDTalks. Prior to tech and VC, he had marketing and commercial strategy roles in the CPG industry, where he worked for L´Oreal, Quala and Johnson & Johnson. Sebastian has an MBA from Tulane University and an EP from Singularity University.
