      Ankh - Over 70 thousand people died from opioid overdoses last year. To help mitigate this epidemic, Ankh uses Fitbit heart rate data and machine learning algorithms to instantly and automatically detect overdoses. Once Ankh identifies an overdose, it automatically contacts family members and emergency medical services. Additionally, Ankh also contacts a member of the Ankh volunteer community, who are trained and armed with Narcan, an opioid overdose reversal drug, to provide care to patients in a timely manner. By automatically detecting and responding to these crises, we hope to greatly reduce the number of opioid related deaths and help ensure that no one has to deal with tragedies associated with opioid use.
