As a board-certified OB-GYN and Associate Professor, my work has focused on trauma-informed obstetric care, medical education, and interdisciplinary collaboration to improve patient outcomes.I co-founded and direct OHSU’s Perinatal Trauma Clinic, one of a few clinics nationwide dedicated to supporting patients with birth trauma. Through clinical work, research, and education, I aim to advance respectful maternity care and equip healthcare providers with the tools to recognize and address perinatal trauma.My academic experience includes mentoring medical students and residents, contributing to peer-reviewed publications, and collaborating on funded research projects. I have spoken at national conferences and worked with institutions seeking to implement trauma-informed approaches in obstetric care.I welcome opportunities to collaborate with legal professionals as a medical expert witness, work with healthcare institutions on trauma-informed obstetric care training initiatives, and support physicians interested in developing similar clinics and programs.
