On the side, I worked on Kelda (formerly Quilt) at UC Berkeley's NetSys Lab under Dr. Scott Shenker and PhD Candidate Ethan Jackson. Kelda was a competitor to Kubernetes and Terraform with a turing complete DSL. It has now spun out into a Kubernetes startup.

I joined as the first engineer under non-technical cofounders. Initially, I was responsible for developing the backend. However, I soon became a "jack of all trades", working with iOS, SOAP bank APIs, computer vision (OpenCV, Tesseract), security consultants, printers, gas stations in New Hampshire, and really, whatever was necessary. As the team grew, I took on a wide array of other responsibilities, such as hiring, setting technical direction, and even project management. Before (voluntarily) leaving, I led a full-stack team of six engineers (Android, iOS, Web, backend).
