Co-Founder & CEO at Making Sense
San Francisco, California, United States
As the CEO of Making Sense, my role is to focus on our client’s business goals, create emotional connections with end-users through technology, and continuously evolve my team’s skills, capabilities, and knowledge. I believe in user friendly, beautiful technology that is easy and intuitive to use, connects emotionally, and makes our lives better.
I graduated with an Engineering degree from the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and went to work as a consultant at Y&L in the U.S. in the early 2000s. I quickly learned that technology creates an emotional reaction and generates experiences, and this became my life’s work.
My company, Making Sense, builds software and creates engaging user experiences, but we do even more. We also invent and market products. We have Making Sense Ventures, an innovation lab where we constantly create new technologies, and improve our abilities to serve clients and their customers.
I am acutely aware of the dynamic nature of our environment, technology, people and cultures, and feel both the pleasure and pressure of adapting to these rapidly changing times. While I have a deep personal passion for inventing things, it is the practical application of ideas more than the ideas themselves that excites me.
Born and raised in Argentina, I am the son of a working-class Argentinian-Italian family. My father immigrated in the 1940s and became a textile entrepreneur. He emphasized education and encouraged me to go to college because he knew it would be easier to grow as a professional, run a profitable business, and do things in a smarter way. That’s where I got my passion to bring ideas to life and build things.
I completed the Stanford Entrepreneur Leaders Program in August 2016 and I’m a former board member of the Nearshore Executive Alliance (NEA). I have been a speaker in events such as SXSW, ITO BPO World Forum and Connect Americas.
I believe in the power of partnership and collaboration. If you are interested in building a better world, have a difficult technology or user experience question, or want a thought partner for solving problems, get in touch. I’ll be glad to help.
