I'm a UX researcher with 8+ years of experience leading qualitative and quantitative research projects across multiple industries. At Google, I have demonstrated efficiency and skill in conducting remote and in-person usability studies, concept testing, qualitative interviews, surveys, quantitative methods, and thematic analysis, and I have received outstanding feedback on my work from fellow researchers, designers, product managers, and engineers. I believe that people are fundamentally clever, but their attention is overly taxed. I take pride in drawing empathetic, user-centered insights from research that helps us meet our users where they're at — ultimately to provide them with experiences that don't just work well for them, but also create moments of delight that stand out in their busy lives. My PhD in linguistics equips me especially well to understand how people draw meaning from written language, symbols, color, and metaphor. Through years of linguistic fieldwork with vulnerable populations, I learned to be adaptive in my research practices in response to the needs of the community and limitations on resources, while still yielding grounded and reliable insights. My background in brand consulting has taught me to be business-minded: every round of research must serve a clear business purpose. I have also learned to design impactful research deliverables tailored to different audiences, from product-level stakeholders up to the C-Suite.
