    Summit’s operations have become fairly involved since I joined the team in 2006. Making sure that our projects, engineering, assembly, and install teams are working well together is just one part of the job. As COO, I’m constantly pushing myself and my team to dream big and innovate new ways that allow technology to impact local church communities across the country. We believe in the power of people, and our AVL systems are merely a tool for churches to reach those people.

    During my time as VP of Operations for Summit, I helped grow our team into the well-oiled machine it is today. I worked to scale our organization by establishing different departments and systems within the operational side of Summit. During this time we moved from one team performing a complete project, front to back to having five different departments each specializing in their segment of the project.

    When I started at Summit as a Project Manager, the job description was much different than it is today. As a PM, it was my responsibility to design, engineer, order parts, install manage, and commission every project I was on. And as difficult as the work was, it helped lay a foundation for the future of Summit. Getting to work that closely with pastors and tech directors was one of the reasons we decided, as a company, to only work with churches moving forward. Because that’s truly where our heart was as a company.
