    Recognized as a quality and safety leader and widely published/invited speaker both nationally and internationally on the topics of adverse events and safety culture, I orchestrated the hospital’s first data collection strategy. That involved building the quality and safety regimen from the ground up, including creating the concept of “unanticipated anesthesia events” and a mechanism to collect data on adverse and unanticipated events, which led to a statistically significant increase in the number of filed reports and granularity of event types.
