I'm a passionate, self-confessed word-nerd. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been using my strong communication skills to tell stories. Eventually, I turned my skills to commercial use when I became a copywriter. Since then, I’ve been engaging audiences for a diverse range of clients. I love bringing creative solutions to commercial problems. I write for online and offline formats, produce scripts and storyboards, and win pitches and tenders. And it would be silly not to mention AI. Some writers fear it. But it is an insanely powerful tool. For now, at least, human skill is still needed. And that’s where I come in. Translating business need into effective AI prompts, then making the AI copy a nudge more human. Just to shift it away from the Uncanny Valley. As team leader, I enjoy managing teams that mix writers, designers, devs and UX, along with other creatives, strategists and techs. I believe mixing up skills from the get-go is good for any project. In various previous lives I founded and ran a dance company. Then a theatre company. I’ve written two novels and spent ten years working as a Freelance Storyteller. These skills provide an excellent complement to my writing. My deep love of language and narrative informs every aspect of my work and acts as a powerful driver behind all the copy that I produce.
