Healthcare works best when it’s built on trusted relationships, with a focus on prevention, whole health, and care that meets people where they are. Too often, our system falls short—reactive, fragmented, and all but impossible to navigate. At Marathon Health, we’re working to change that by strengthening primary care as the foundation of lifelong health and healthcare. When primary care is accessible, connected, and centered on the patient-provider relationship, it improves outcomes, lowers costs, and creates a better experience for purchasers, providers, and patients alike. This isn’t a new idea—but it’s one that requires renewed focus and commitment to realize at scale. By combining thoughtful care delivery with the right use of data and technology, we’re innovating a model that emphasizes early intervention, coordination, and long-term health. What’s more, we’re doing it for the communities often most challenged by access and affordability. To this ambitious mission, I bring more than 30 years of executive leadership experience across value-based care, specialty care management, provider networks, and employer-sponsored healthcare. Before joining Marathon Health, I led specialty networks and payment integrity at Paradigm, growing the business by 300 percent over five years, and previously served in senior leadership roles at Optum, including as COO of its medical benefit management division and of its global business. Earlier in my career, I was the founding CFO and later CEO of Renaissance Health Care, a renal disease management company. I’m inspired every day by the teams, providers, and employers working to make healthcare more personal, more effective, and more sustainable. Together, we’ll make high-quality primary care the norm, not the exception.
