Sophia Castro

Hi there! I’m Sophia Castro, a senior at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign pursing a dual-degree in Advertising and Spanish, as well as a minor in Public Relations. I am passionate about corporate communications and brand storytelling, as well as ways to use messaging to build trust, enhance reputation, and drive engagement. Through academic involvement and work experiences, I have grown my skills in content creation, social media strategy, and organizational communication.Post-grad, I am hoping to apply my skills in a professional setting that values innovation, leadership, and thoughtful communication. I’m especially interested in opportunities that allow me to support brand positioning and public relations initiatives.Outside of work and school, I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family, and film and television—all of which inspire my curiosity and encourage me to learn more.
