Dennis Milsten is an experienced professional with a diverse background in capital program management, construction quality management, construction procurement, and business development in both the public and private sectors. With over 40 years of experience, he has held various key roles in government departments such as the Army (US Army Corps of Engineers), Veterans Affairs (Office of Construction and Facilities Management), and Treasury (Office of Procurement). During his tenure at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Mr. Milsten led the design and construction program for major projects, overseeing the development and construction of hospitals and cemeteries across the United States. He has also contributed to the field of construction through his role as an instructor in the US Army Corps of Engineers Prospect Program, where he focused on Construction Contract Administration and Construction Quality Management. Currently, Mr. Milsten serves as the Director for Federal Services at SIRIS, LLC, a service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB). In this capacity, he spearheads the company's efforts in the federal market sector, identifying growth opportunities and establishing relationships with various federal clients, including Veteran's Affairs, US Army Corps of Engineers, Naval Facilities Command, and GSA. Mr. Milsten holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the Virginia Military Institute. Recognized as a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) by the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA). Additionally, he actively contributes to the industry through his involvement in professional organizations. He currently serves on the CMAA National Board and has previously served on the Executive Committee of the Construction Industry Institute. His leadership in facility management transformation at Veterans Affairs was acknowledged with the President's Award from the National Institute of Building Sciences.
