Identified existing technology within the company available for them to run a PoC (proof of concept) to illustrate the need and value of tracking all logistics data, parts, shipment in/out of the facility, and knowing the last location within minutes.Weeks and weeks where required due to the complexity and 3 SAP systems to communicate with, as well as, a separate warehouse management interface (non-standard by definition).

SAP (POE) - Stop Printing that Packing Slip

It was discovered that by using a standardized RFID bar codes at the manufacturing plant, a plant could in fact, scan incoming and outgoing shipping slips, then automatically attach them into the SAP transaction. The advantage is, due to audit requirements, the logistics areas must keep a record of all shipping labels for a minimum of 10 years, due to data retention policy. With the ability to scan and attach the shipping labels in the SAP transaction, it negated the necessity to manually store anymore, the physical shipping labels. NavVis PoC (Proof of Concept) - Online Plant Tour

Setup and coordinated support for NavVis application running on Linux server. Customer hired the company to do a 3D filming of 3 main production areas as a PoC. The intention was to allow a fly through online tour experience of the Charleston Manufacturing Area's for customer meetings, previews to onsite visits, and eventually tie to asset management software to be used for machine moves, maintenance work orders, and external contractors work instructions. HDP5 Data Replication

Worked as project manager for multi-talented IT associates, manufacturing, and process engineers to identify and define a method to allow for real-time replication of manufacturing line data. Initial focus was simply replicating the data from Oracle DB in production to secondary Oracle DB. Through process OGG was identified as best tool. Eventually the necessary tables, replication of the tables, and transformation of the data into a usable format was designed and implemented. Currently used for dash boards displaying real-time information concerning the production line, further steps are being defined to allow for data analytics and data mining. INDIRA Web Service -> Put Photo

Customer approached with need to finish a college co-op student's great effort to fully automate a process of importing spare parts records, along with photo's of those spare parts, into the SAP sub-system called INDIRA. The project was assigned from plant leadership as a goal for completion by end of year. the co-ops efforts provided the team with a 70% solution. The team required expert IT assistance to complete the program, and to have additional Web Services created to support the attachment of the photo into the SAP subsystem without any manual interaction.
