SAP (POE) - Stop Printing that Packing Slip
    Jan 2018 - Aug 2018 (8 months)
It was discovered that by using a standardized RFID bar codes at the manufacturing plant, a plant could in fact, scan incoming and outgoing shipping slips, then automatically attach them into the SAP transaction. The advantage is, due to audit requirements, the logistics areas must keep a record of all shipping labels for a minimum of 10 years, due to data retention policy. With the ability to scan and attach the shipping labels in the SAP transaction, it negated the necessity to manually store anymore, the physical shipping labels. Freeing up endless storage space on site and off site, needless to say a lot of money for storage and for resources to manage the paper trail. While the project took longer than anticipated. It has now been impl
