Hi, I’m Tiya! I am a psychologist, educator, researcher, and youth mental health advocate passionate about helping young people thrive. I am currently heading partnerships and outreach at Youth for Mental Health: a youth-led organisation empowering young people to advocate for mental health through peer-based approaches and programs.
I also serve as a Project Coordinator for METROPOLIS (Mechanistic trial of problem-solving and behavioral activation for youth depression), an international research project implemented by King's College London, Sangath, Youth for Mental Health, the University of Sussex, and O.P. Jindal Global University.
Over the years, I have worked across clinical, research, educational, and community settings, gaining experience with institutions including NIMHANS, Lady Hardinge Medical College, Special Olympics Bharat, and the World Brain Centre.
Beyond organisational leadership, I mentor psychology students and young professionals, conduct workshops and talks, create educational content, and work to bridge the gap between psychological science and everyday life. Whether I am speaking at an event, building partnerships, mentoring students, conducting research, or facilitating conversations around mental health, my goal remains the same: to make psychological knowledge accessible, ethical, and relevant to the people who need it most.
Always open to collaborations, speaking opportunities, research projects, and conversations that create meaningful impact.
