    The purpose of this study was to examine the bilateral differences between dominant versus non-dominant vastus lateralis muscles in the assessment of the MPFFT during incremental cycle ergometry. Twelve adult males (mean ± SD age = 21.58 ± 3.75 years; body weight = 84.2 ± 14.7 kg) performed an incremental cycle ergometer test to exhaustion while the EMG signal was recorded from the vastus lateralis muscle from the dominant and non-dominant legs. A demarcation between non-fatiguing and fatiguing power outputs was identified by statistically examining the slope coefficients for the EMG mean power frequency versus time relationship at each power output during the incremental cycle ergometer test.
