My professional IT experience dates back to the beginning of 1995 when joined Olivetti Systems in the Netherlands, and performed field service for the ABN AMRO bank. After Olivetti I left for Syntegra (now BT) at the end of 1996, where I started to develop myself as an engineer on the Microsoft NT platform. I ended my career at Syntegra after completing one of the first nationwide Citrix Metaframe implementations, for Toyota. On the 1st of January 2000 I started as a Technical Specialist at ThinClient Consultancy bv, a small startup company focusing on SBC technology. During my time at TCC I worked on hundreds of SBC projects, mainly Citrix based. After TCC I joined Citrix and was a Sr Systems Engineer for 7 years. During that period I was responsible for promoting and supporting Citrix' Mobile Workstyles strategy and portfolio for partners and customers. Focus areas were pre-sales support, partner education, evangelizing and demo-ing the Citrix Story. I engaged with the partnerbase on a daily basis to make sure they had the right tools and knowledge to be successful with Citrix products and visited customers to show them the value of the portfolio and make sure PoC's, pilots and implementations completed successfully. During this period I attended many industry events and presented lots of sessions on Citrix solutions to often large crowds. Per May 2014 I joined Nutanix as a Sr Systems Engineer focussing on the profit sector in the Netherlands. My last postition was in the role of Sr Manager Channel Systems Engineering EMEA after first having worked as Partner Enablement Strategist, and together with my team of 15 channel SEs I coordinated the technical enablement and presales efforts of our channel partners. In this role I was also part of the day to day EMEA SE Management team. After I left Nutanix in 2021, I started working at Salt Security as Channel Enablement Manager for EMEA. Over the course of 2.5 years I helped build the entire EMEA channel partner eco-system, developed training, workshops and certifications, and represented Salt on many industry events and speaking engagements. Currebtly leading the EMEA Solutions Engineering team at DevRev. Specialities: Nutanix Architecture, Citrix Architecture, Server virtualization, Desktop virtualization, Storage Virtualization, (Hybrid/Multi) Cloud Computing architecture, Cloud Security. Artificial Intelligence. Very experienced public speaker, trainer and evangelist on all levels. Early stage startup experience and company builder.
