Do a lot of reserving work, particularly in pollution and medical malpractice. Also have worked on multiple predictive modeling projects, including a dislocation analysis. Created a "fuzzy matching" program in SQL/SAS in order to be able to more efficiently match misspelled names - e.g. my program can figure out that Jhon Smith and John Smith are likely the same person, thus removing the need for painstaking manual matching. Have passed 3 actuarial exams.

Selected to participate in the Distinguished Majors Program my fourth year of college As part of that program, wrote a thesis on whether "flipping houses" (which I defined as the same home being resold in less than two years) in Milwaukee, WI was profitable. I mined Milwaukee home sales data and construction permit data for the years 2002-2010. I also taught myself how to write SQL queries in Access in order to manipulate that data and then used Stata to run regressions. Based on that thesis work and my overall academic record, I received High Distinction when I graduated.
