      Symbolic Unit Testing Method Evaluation
      IT Apr
An object of this study is testing methods, based on dynamic symbolic execution algorithms.
One of such tools using dynamic symbolic execution under the hood is Pex. Whilst authors of this tool
state that they were able to find some new bugs on an extensively tested core .NET framework
component, there has been little work demonstrating the effectiveness of this tool with real world .NET
applications in terms of code coverage. First, after analyzing related work, we provide some ideas for
further method improvement. Second, we study the results of the application of this tool on well known
open source project as well as 10 test schemes. Finally, we provide results of method study.

Generating Unit Tests for Floating Point Embedded Software using Compositional Dynamic Symbolic Execution
Journal of Electronics and Electrical Engineering May
We present a method that would integrate both: compositional dynamic symbolic execution and search-based test data generation methods to achieve better code coverage for software that largely depends on floating point computations. We have implemented our method as an extension of a well-know symbolic execution engine – PEX. Our extension implements search-based testing as an optimization technique using AVM method. We present coverage comparison for several benchmark functions.

Symbolic Execution Engine for .NET Platform
      IVUS May
Symbolic execution is a state of the art technique that
is being used in very interesting projects to improve security,
to find bugs, and to help in debugging. A symbolic execution
engine is basically an interpreter that figures out how to follow
all paths in a program. In this work we present our symbolic
execution engine and unit test generator for .NET platform
“SYMEX”. We evaluate it against other tool that generates
      test inputs randomly.
    This is a community-created genome.
